Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) Practice Exam

An agent plays a crucial role in international sales by representing products in the market. This involves promoting the goods to potential buyers, negotiating terms and conditions of sales, and facilitating transactions between the seller (usually a manufacturer or exporter) and the buyer (importer or retailer). The agent acts on behalf of the seller, leveraging their local market knowledge, connections, and understanding of consumer preferences to effectively market and sell the products.

By representing the products, the agent can navigate cultural differences, language barriers, and varied business practices, making them an essential link between international sellers and local buyers. This representation can lead to increased sales, better market penetration, and a more efficient entry into foreign markets.

The other options describe functions that may relate more directly to distributors or logistics providers, which do not encapsulate the primary role of an agent in international sales.
